Based in London, Ontario, Coach Steve Pettigrew is a Hockey Canada certified instructor, who develops custom training programs for individuals and teams looking to progress to the next level.

Steve played a high level of hockey from a young age and has been coaching since 2014. He has received multiple training certificates through Hockey Canada. Steve incorporates hockey IQ into every session, ensuring players understand when to use certain skills.

Programs

  • Group Sessions

    We run a series of group sessions that individuals can sign up for in advance. These programs vary in length and offer training that focuses on skating edgework, offensive and defensive positioning, on-ice strategy and more. Each class will typically end with a short scrimmage to allow players to test out their new skills.

  • Private Sessions

    Want a more individualized training session? Contact us to book a one-hour session with Coach Steve, where he can hone in on specific skills and techniques. These sessions can be used for tryout prep as well as a pre-season tuneup. Private sessions can be booked for individuals or groups of up to 20.

  • Team Sessions

    Bring your team to us in order to give them an opportunity to learn from a new perspective. These sessions can focus on skating, defence, strategy, positioning and other types of in-season development. Coach Steve can instruct during your team’s scheduled practice time, or through our booked ice.

Summer Hockey Skills Development

14 weeks on-ice hockey skills. Weeknights only. No weekends. Ages 7 & up.

Western Fair Sports Centre

One hour on-ice sessions

Cost: $430 (tax included)

Assessments will be done the first week to assign a level to the players, which will determine the time slot.

Program details: Powerskating, Edgework, Puck Control, Positioning, Shooting, Stickhandling.

Scrimmage at the end of each session to apply the skills we learned.
